Magnum Trust Bank Limited (January 1991-1995)
Retained as Consultants to undertake the development of an
Information Technology Strategic plan for the Bank. Also
retained to implement and supervise the IT Strategic Plan.
The IT Strategic Plan included detailed designs and
strategies for the branch-banking and networking scheme.
It included LAN scheme based on the Ethernet 10-Base-T
topology, the first of its kind in any commercial bank in
Nigeria.
As Consultants, we were responsible for evaluating all
technologies with respect to the IT strategic Plan and
recommending the appropriate technology integration where
relevant. Our responsibilities included evaluating and
short-listing vendors using an internally developed
evaluation criteria. Planned all Networking and Windows
integration training for all the end-users and IT Staff.
Developed all system and software specification based on
IT Plan as well as developed all Request for Quotations (RFQ)/Request
for Proposals (RFP) on behalf of the client. Supervised
the implementation of the Multi-server, Local Area Network
based on the initial design of Ethernet 10-Base-T
topology. Also reviewed and recommended suitable
distributed, client/server banking software for the Bank
based on predetermined corporate objectives. Provided
general IT consulting services to the Bank.
Financial Bank of Cotonou (Feb 1991-Jan 1992)
Retained, as consultants to review the information
technology Strategic Plan developed for the Bank by a
Swiss IT firm and recommend changes to the IT systems and
specifications were necessary. Recommended the integration
of the RS-6000 AIX Systems to a LAN network incorporating
a Novell NetWare solution using TCP/IP. Provided
assistance in the implementation of the banking system
written in Progress relational database management system
RDBMS.
Nigerian Export-Import Bank, (NEXIM) (March 1991-1996)
Retained, as consultants to develop the information
technology strategic plan for the Bank and implement its
recommendations. As consultants our responsibilities
included identifying and short-listing vendors (hardware,
software, networking, help desk etc), developing RFQ’s/RFP’s,
evaluating bid documents and making recommendations,
detailed and planned all the training for the end-users
and IT staff. The training for the users involved Windows
networking and application training; for the IT staff the
training involved FourGen Accounting and FourGen CASE Tool
Development.
The Bank uses an integrated 10-Base-T Ethernet LAN running
on two EISA servers with 30 workstations. Their
productivity software environment (Microsoft
Windows/Office) runs on one server while the other runs
their FourGen Accounting software on UNIX. System
integration is achieved through TCP/IP. Our role included
the identification and recommendation of suitable vendors
for training, defined and selected the hardware and
software components, including the recommendation of the
vendor for the structured cabling system. Also provide IT
strategic planning guidance to the Bank.
Conducted extensive information engineering (data
modelling) for two main units: Project & Corporate Finance
(P&CF) and Trade Finance (TF) in readiness for software
development. Retained to manage the software development
project. NEXIM Bank is currently integrating Windows NT
into its existing NOVELL/UNIX environment.
Elf Petroleum Nigeria Limited (September 1993)
Conducted a two-month study to review and optimize their
IBM Systems/36 tape management and storage systems.
Progress Bank of Nigeria (November 1994-February 1995)
IT CONSULTING
Retained, as consultants to the Bank to conduct a detailed
audit review of the Bank’s information systems. Also
retained to developed the Bank’s information technology
strategic plan; identified and reviewed the banking
software for the Bank; designed the enterprise network
scheme for all 42 branches, developed a detailed project
plan and schedule of implementation for the project.
Retained to develop Request for Proposal/Quotations and
identify suitable vendors for specific hardware, software
and training requirements.

Hotels Limited (November 1994)
IT
Consulting & Contract Development
Retained to design the local area network for the hotel;
identify and recommend vendors to supply and install the
network hardware and software; developed the RFP/RFQ’s for
the purchase of hardware and software. Developed and
recommended Windows-based training for the staff.
Developed the Zodiac Hotel Management System in Microsoft
Access and SQL Server 6.0.
Nigerian Tobacco Company, NTC (March 1995-June 1995)
Retained, as consultants by British-American Tobacco
Company, BATCo for NTC to design an enterprise network
system, including a structured cabling system for NTC
based on the BATCo global IT specification. Also retained
to provide general IT consulting services specifically in
the use of Lotus Notes and Microsoft Project.
United Securities Limited (June-December 1995)
Retained to develop the Securities (Share) Management
Systems in Microsoft Access and SQL Server. Embarked on
extensive data modelling using ERWin, an
entity-relationship modelling tool, to generate SQL Server
schemas. Also provided general IT consulting services.
Gomel
Engineering Limited (July 1995)
Retained as consultants to design and detail a WAN/LAN for
the Shell SPDC engineering drawing offices in
Port-Harcourt and Warri and also detail a workflow process
using Lotus Notes. The design included developing a Lotus
Notes database and the use of e-mail for the same offices.
Investment Banking and Trust Company Ltd. (January 1996)
Retained as consultants by IBS Ltd. To design and
implement a Remote Access Server utilising Windows NT
Server 3.51.

Briscoe (April 1996-July 1997)
Retained as consultants to design, specify and evaluate
the structured cabling system for the 90-node network,
consisting of NetWare, OS/2 and Windows NT servers. Our
responsibility also included evaluating Request for
Proposals submitted by the selected vendors; presenting to
Management the optimal cost-effective solution for their
cabling infrastructure and providing analysis on network
traffic estimates and capacity planning. In August,
their network management was outsourced to InfoSoft for a
contract period of one year. We provided strategic network
management services.
FSB International Bank, Plc. (July 1996)
Retained as consultants to define and present an
enterprise-wide electronic mail strategy. The designed
solution is based on Microsoft NT Server and Microsoft
Exchange. The system will utilise the Bank’s existing Wide
area network communications infrastructure.
In June 1997 and in association with InfoGraphics Nigeria
Limited, we provided technical and logistical support for
the FSB International, Corporate Identity Launch held at
the MUSON, Shell Hall.
In September 1997, retained to implement a corporate
Intranet for the head office using Windows NT 4.0,
Internet Information Server.
Merchant Banking Corporation (Nig.) Ltd. (July 1996)
CONTRACT DEVELOPMENT
On contract to develop an object-oriented, client/server
remote access banking application called Online 2000+.
This application is currently supported by InfoSoft and
running on numerous customer sites for MBC.
Broad Bank of Nigeria Ltd. (October 1996)
IT Strategic Planning
Retained by the bank as consultant to provide a broad
range of IT services including developing and implementing
IT strategic plan; provide strategic support services in
areas of groupware communication and strategic planning.
The second phase of the project involved the
implementation of the IT Strategic Plan which involved the
identification of vendors, software requirement and
evaluation, systems specifications, preparation of RFQ/RFP
bid documents.
City Securities Limited (December 1996)
Retained by CSL to design and develop a share registration
system X-Trac on Microsoft SQL Server/Access 8.0 platform.
This exercise included extensive process/information
modelling and rapid prototyping for ½ a million
shareholders and migrating their current system from an
IBM System 36 to a distributed client/server environment.
Designed the client/server infrastructure, capacity
planning, network traffic estimation, help desk support
and disaster recovery scheme. InfoSoft also designed and
supervised the implementation of a Structured Cabling
System (SCS) for a 50-node Ethernet network to support the
registrar’s department. Assisted in streamlining their IT
Strategic Plan for their future IT scheme.
Designed all client/server and Windows-based training (Win
95 [Memphis], for the end-users and IT staff. Also
established a help desk for desktop support. Responsible
for evaluating all bid documents from selected vendors and
recommending competent and successful vendors.
Zenith International Bank Limited (March 1997)
Retained by Zenith to offer in-house technical training in
Windows NT Server 4.0/Workstation 4.0 and SQL Server
(Developers/Administration), Provided technical assistance
for the planning for the new banking system.
Nigerian Intercontinental Merchant Bank (July 1997)
TECHNICAL TRAINING
Retained by NIMBL to offer in-house Technical training in
Windows NT Server 4.0/Workstation 4.0, SQL Server
(Developers/Administration), SNA Server. Assisted the IT
department in the integration of SNA Server to the AS/400.
Retained to provide technical support for the IT staff for
the mass deployment of their distributed, client/server
systems to all their branches nationwide.
Lever Brothers Nigeria Plc (August 1997)
Retained by LBN to design a groupware strategy based on
Lotus Notes. The implementation used Lotus Notes based on
the Unilever Global Strategy for Lotus Notes.
This design was implemented in an existing LAN/fibre
network running Unix and NetWare servers. The
implementation runs on Windows NT 4.0 with TCP/IP extended
via Cisco routers on a X.25 network.
Union Bank of Nigeria plc, Registrar’s Department (June
1998)
Retained by UBN, Registrar’s Department to design and
implement distributed client/server system for the
Registrar’s department. We have recently been requested to
review and develop an IT Strategic Plan for the
department. This will require extensive business process
re-engineering and process modelling.
Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (June 1998)
SCOPE: Outsourcing Database Support for Sun Accounting
System
Retained by LNLG for 12 months to support a three-server,
SQL-based, Sun Accounting system for twenty-four users on
two sites. The servers are connected between Bonny and
Lagos via 64kbps VSAT Windows NT Enterprise link.
First Securities Discount House (July 1998)
Technical Training
Retained by FSDH to provide technical training in the
following Microsoft BackOffice products in Microsoft
Windows NT Server 4.0, Workstation 4.0 SQL server 6.5 and
Access 8.0. This exercise will include extensive training
in data modelling and project management software.
Currently, we are assisting in re-engineering some
business processes.
Lever Brother Nigeria Plc (August 1998)
NETWORK DESIGN AND DATABASE IMPLEMENTATION
Under contract to implement and configure LBN’s Windows NT
Enterprise, SQL database for Sun accounting system for
four locations, Aba, Abuja, Lagos and Oregun. All sites
are connected via 64kbps VSAT and Radio communications.
Diamond Bank Limited (March 1999)
Commissioned to develop ePurse, the Back Office system and
middleware software for the Diamond Bank Electronic Purse
(PayCard). The application was developed using Visual
Basic 6.0, C++ and SQL Server 7.0.
Implemented X-Trac, InfoSoft’s Share Registration Package
in DBL Securities Limited, the securities arm of the Bank.
International Merchant Bank Plc. (April-May 1999)
Retained as consultants to provide a strategic service to
enable the Bank identify and select a suitable banking
software for their operations.
Purchased and implemented X-Trac, InfoSoft’s Share
Registration Package in IMB Securities Limited, the
securities arm of the Bank.
Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas, NLNG (November 1999-
February 2000)
OUTSOURCING:DATABASE SUPPORT
Retained, as consultants by NLNG to provide SQL Server
database support for the Sun Accounting Systems which is
installed on multiple servers and runs on Microsoft SQL
Server.
Contract Extended From Aug 2001 to till date
Retained as consultants to support the Shell SSI software
solutions for the Shipping and Marketing departments at
NLNG in Lagos and Bonny. Contract extended to provide
software change order process for the users of the
applications. Responsible for testing the shipping
application on the NLNG ships after each approved
modification.
InfoSoft Nigeria Limited was handed over the application
source code on behalf of NLNG for analysis and support.
Required to model and implement all negotiated contract
terms in the Shipping and Marketing applications for the
purchase of natural gas for each customer (Confidential).
National Electric Power Authority (August 2000)
Strategic IT Consulting
Retained as IT consultants to the NEPA Technical Board to
provide strategic input on large scale IT projects within
the Authority. Negotiated, on behalf of the Technical
Board, the purchase of an Enterprise Resource Planning
software solution. Also retained by the Board as Project
Managers for the implementation of the solution.
Bureau of Public Enterprises (February 2001- To Date)
INDEPENDENT DATA ANALYSIS & TEMPLATE DESIGN
Retained as IT consultants to the BPE to provide
Independent Data Analysis for the ongoing allotment
exercise for the privatisation of the first eight
enterprises.
The scope of the project has been extended to include
using the Template for further data analysis of the
remaining 36 enterprises to be privatised.
InfoSoft developed a database template in Microsoft Access
2000/Excel and SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services (OLAP) to
enable the BPE analyse and drill down the results of the
allotment exercise. This template is designed to
standardise the data set received from all the registrars
to the offers.
The Template is designed to provide the BPE detailed
analysis of the distribution of shares to 360 federal
constituencies in accordance with the established BPE
guidelines and regulations. SQL Server 2000 Analysis
Services is used to facilitate the drill-down scenario
analysis on the data set provided to the BPE by the BPE
nominated registrars to each of the offers.
Assisted the BPE design and document a standard Data &
Process Model to ensure data quality and cleanliness at
source as well as enforce the rules for filling
application forms by potential investors to the offer at
the point of submission of the application forms to the
receiving agents.
Agusto & Co. (February 2001)
DATA MODELLING AND CONSULTING
Financial Data Mart
Retained, as consultants, to assist the firm build a
financial data mart in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (OLAP)
and maintain its existing financial analysis template
built in Microsoft Excel.
Agusto & Co. maintains 10 years of financial data for all
the banks in the country using Microsoft Excel as a
flat-file database. The database became difficult to
manage, query and drill-down for detailed
cross-referencing and financial analysis.
InfoSoft Nigeria Limited designed a Dimensional Data
Model, implemented in SQL Server 2000 to facilitate
improved data management and query capabilities.
Ministry of Aviation
Retained as Lead IT consultants to the Ministry to develop
an IT Strategic Plan as well as scope and define the
implementation plan of all IT projects within the
Ministry.
The activities include developing a Network Plan for the
Ministry, Implementing a Human Resources Management
system, offer specialised software solutions on request as
well as provide project management services for ongoing IT
projects which have been collapsed under our terms of
reference.
Ministry of Health
Retained as IT consultant to the Minister of Health to
define and propose suitable methodologies to develop
prospective data quality improvement process, data
analysis and collection. Provide strategic guidance for
key information analysis required by the Minister.
Required to scope and model a data warehouse for the
Ministry to enable drill-down data analysis for the World
Bank project (Confidential).
National Maritime Authority
Under contract to NMA to scope and implement a human
resources management system. Required to provide project
management services to ensure that the key IT components
are properly executed and meet scheduled delivery.
Required by contract to recommend and schedule technical
training for all IT staff of the NMA.
